Naomi Janovec-Easley

CONTROLLER

Naomi Janovec-Easley is the Controller for The Evanston Group, a leading life sciences consulting firm that provides high-caliber consultants and specialty talent to many of the world’s most recognized names in modern health care.

As Controller, Naomi manages the accounting functions for The Evanston Group, including transaction processing, preparation of financial statements, and the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures. She manages the annual audit process and works closely with the executive, sales, recruiting and operations teams on financial analysis and a variety of reporting needs. Additionally, Naomi, oversees many of the day-to-day HR responsibilities, managing payroll, benefits, and training staff on changes to state employment laws.

While she specializes in critical back-office operations, Naomi delivers on The Evanston Group’s promise of exceptional customer service to clients and consultants by ensuring that all details in the billing and invoicing processes are efficient and handled seamlessly.

Before joining The Evanston Group in 2017, Naomi served as an accounting assistant with Vranas & Vlahos Accountants, a firm specializing in tax preparation and tax accounting for small businesses. She also spent over five years in the nonprofit world as the Accounting Manager at the National Hellenic Museum. There she ensured museum compliance with state policies for awarded grants, provided analytics monthly to the Board of Directors, and oversaw the audit process.

Naomi graduated from Salisbury University’s Perdue School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting & marketing. She also studied Forensic Science & Technology at Mount Marty College.

In her free time, Naomi is a leather craftsman. She has spent over six years teaching at the Chicago School of Shoemaking and Leather Arts, and created a certification program with the school’s founder to foster skills and training necessary for the shoe manufacturing, upholstery, and leather goods industries.
