Michael Anderson

FOUNDING PARTNER

Prior to co-founding The Evanston Group, Michael had 10 years of management experience followed by 14 years in the not-for-profit sector. These experiences developed his skills in operations, employee development and management.

In 1999, Michael and his wife Kay Anderson, founded The Evanston Group, a life sciences consulting firm providing specialty talent and high-caliber consultants to the world’s largest pharmaceutical, medical device, and other leading companies across the industry. Clients count on The Evanston Group for highly specialized expertise essential to the development of life-changing drugs, vaccines, new treatment options, game-changing medical devices, clinical trials as well as support for regulatory, quality, compliance and many other ground-breaking health care initiatives.

As a member of the leadership team, Michael has played a major role in the evolution and growth of the company by establishing a vision of excellence. Early on, he built strong relationships with key business partners in the legal, finance and accounting fields and established other alliances that created market awareness and greater visibility. Under his initiative, The Evanston Group joined the TechServe Alliance, a consortium of consulting firms sharing best practices and business insights. This helped the company refine its own best practices, metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). Over the years, Michael led the development of operational processes and high standards that deliver strong results and the company’s promise of exceptional service to clients and consultants.

Under his direction, The Evanston Group has grown from an idea once discussed around the Anderson’s kitchen table, into a lifeline of talent for C-Suite executives at some of the world’s most influential companies. Today, The Evanston Group has built a nationwide network of consultants that have helped lead more than 3,000 engagements for organizations that are redefining modern health care.

The Evanston Group boasts an impressive 95+% client-consultant match-rate. The company excels at a fast response to client requests and can typically identify an essential resource in days, no matter how exacting the list of client must-haves.

In 2011, Michael retired from the day-to-day operations of the business. He remains active in The Evanston Group as a Board Director and influential voice in strategic business decisions of the firm.

Michael graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and earned the Master of Divinity degree from Nashotah House, the Episcopal seminary in Wisconsin.
